Yayy!!New Bathrobes!!

I didn't make them but Marsha of mimskidsplus.etsy.com did!

As we opened up the door to get on the schoolbus this morning..."oooh, your robe is here" I said.

"Yeahhhh, open it open it mama! daddy!!my buzz light year bath robe is here!!"

Lucas picked out the fabric and Marsha made it just for him!
Marsha also whipped one up for Olivia and had them in the mail the next day! and, we got five bucks off for buying the second robe! they are very sweet and perfect for the bath or even the pool in the summer. Thank you Marsha, Lucas loves it.
He immediately told the bus driver that his buzz light year bath robe came in the mail today.

.....another shout out, this time to Lara of the blog, Two Mittens. She and I were part of Tutus and Turtles birthday giveaway and she had such nice things to say about bubbalucas and me! Thank you Lara!

You may remember a while back when I won this fabulous giveaway over at Tutus and Turtles. I know it's been a while, but I thought it was worth mentioning the generous contributors once again in case you need some help with your Christmas List. Everything came in the mail without any problem, from across the US and even from Canada (hooray!). I would definitely recommend ordering any of these products online as there were no problems with shipping. Easy shopping!
(ok, because I am a bit slow with the technology I can't figure out how to post web photos with my mac...I used to know how with my old pc...so linkety links it will have to be)

This bracelet from Bubbalucas is so sweet. It came in a perfect little heart pocket. I could tell a lot of care and attention went into this handmade gift. And Jeanine was delightful.

....a trip up to Pennsylvania

a 24 hour trip to spend time with my mom and dad, it was so nice and relaxing. My mom and I spent almost all of our time together in our pajamas(except for when we went on a wine run) in their sunroom listening to some festive fall and halloween playlists and my moms Bette Midler Beaches album, I have to admit I knew the words from when she use to play it in the house when I was younger! My mom patiently re-taught me how to knit and crochet. The trees are just about bare but I did get to see some pretty colors.

.....a business of party planning?

don't know if I could swing it as a business but I do enjoy planning a party! some special touches for my sister's baby shower...
The invites....Cheryl has an obsession with the old school Pram! I think she owns 4 vintage peg perego prams! So I asked my friend Helen, who is an awesome illustrator and creates some very cute stationery, to design Cheryl's invites and they were so cute! this is how I received them in the mail from Helen

not a big fan of games so I tried a couple that were less traditional, everyone had a lot of fun with don't say baby and we recycled the clothespins to hang art work in the baby's room.....

oh yeah...check out my hostess cake! My sister cheryl doesn't like cake, she likes snacks. We grew up with a well stocked junk food cabinet that most of our friends still talk about today. There was always a twinkie and some ring dings available so I made cheryl an old school snack cake. It came out awesome! better than I expected...I topped it off with a pregnant woman "tipping" the scale saying "oops". She loved it, a big hit!

sewed up some prefab doilies from AC Moore to make our peonies feel extra special

My mom crocheted 50 of these butterflies which we hot glued some magnets onto and created a thank you/favor card. Crazy, right? I love it!

grew tired of the old clothesline trick, so we decided on a toy chest that matched the baby furniture, kids coat rack from Land Of Nod and a hamper to put her bedding and some ridiculously cute clothing! can you see that tutu? amazing! the hangers are pretty awesome as well!

.....Ms. Angella a special bracelet

Bubba's last day of school before starting his new Pre- School. We heart Ms. Angella and will miss her and I think she will miss Lucas as well....

I heart bugs

as promised.....photo shoot in central park on bubba's birthday. He really does love bugs! as well as many other kids we discovered that day. Bubba's new tee received many compliments and inquiries....... so, I am whipping up some more of these awesome tees and making them available here very soon! So exciting!

......a t-shirt for my little bugger

I also embroidered a worm, spider, ant, and bumble bee ( I will post a photo after it is washed, vanilla cupcake icing!)
Lucas loved it, when I showed him he said" woooww, it's beaudiful". He did make one additional bug request, a ladybug.

..lily's birthday gift

a double name bracelet for the mama of two.
Happy Birthday Lilayna!

..it a point to visit PA more often

I am sure my mom will be happy to read that! Spent a lovely weekend in Pennsylvania, just me and my mama. She brought me to the ribbon factory in Stroudsburg where we spent hours saying "ooooh, we can make....." endless ideas, gotta get working on those ideas!
We also went thrifting and antiquing, which is just so good and cheap in PA! Here are some great buys from the Saly V and other shops.

Sept. 12,1993 "with love to my favorite quilter on the 13th Anniversary of our wedding"

..my white camiseta pink

my first experience dyeing clothing...I know, but I was always so nervous to screw it up! love this shirt for so long but white really isn't flattering on me and now I am pretty happy with my new favorite shirt. And psyched that the embroidery wasn't disturbed by the dye

..our guestroom into a guestroom/studio! Yay!
